Budapest - Tuesday, January 19, 1993
[from an old diary, where i was maybe a bit too budget concious]
We're in Budapest now and, so far, I'm not sure about it. It's cold and foggy, which is cool. It gets dark around 4:30 pm, which is about the same as Prague, but it seems to be expensive.
We rode a cable car up to the palace, and the sign had said "No Return Fair." It said otherwise on the way down.
We just ate dinner at a "cheap" restaurant for about $17.50. That's a lot!
Our apartment is nice, a little spendy, but nice. It's pretty quiet and private.
