Honeymoon in Cancun - Wednesday, January 2, 2002
We took our honeymoon in January of 2002 . We booked a really great, inexpensive last-minute package through hotwire.com, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. Le Meridien turned out to be an excellent choice. To sum up our stay: Positives - very nice rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, impeccable service (one bellman called us by name every time he greeted us), beautiful pools, free BEER; Negatives - no cushions on the beach chairs, so-so food at the pool restaurant. We saw the JW Marriott from a distance and thought it looked too big for our tastes. The Ritz did look very nice, but we would not choose it over Le Meridien. We will definitely stay at Le Meridien again if we return to Cancun!
